Heating Time ControlA single channel timer provides accurate time control of periods when the boiler operates. It needs to be combined with a room thermostat so that room temperatures can be monitored and the boiler switched on or off during an ‘on’ heating time. Single channel time control is usually for combi boilers or for systems where the hot water is controlled via separate controls
Heating & Hot Water Time ControlA dual channel programmer provides accurate time control of periods when the boiler needs to operates.to provide both heating and hot water. These periods can be independent of each other It needs to be combined with a room thermostat so that room temperatures can be monitored and a cylinder thermostat o monitor the temperature of the hot water. These allow the boiler to have temperature control during an ‘on’ heating time. Dual channel time control is usually for heating system with stored hot water
Combined Time & Temperature Control Combined time and temperature control allows the creation of heating schedules that set variable temperature set points throughout a 24 hour period, usually providing a maximum of 6 time periods that can operate at different temperatures. Hot water time control is also included in some programmable thermostats
Set the programmer to come on when you need heating
Set the room thermostat to the required temperature
The valve opens to direct the flow of water to the radiators
Set the cylinder thermostat to the required temperature
no external temperature controls - Hot water temperature control set within the boiler
The valve opens to direct the flow of water to the cylinder
Set the time switch to come on when you need heating
The boiler fires and hot water is pumped to the radiators
by the heat exchanger in the boiler to provide instant hot water on demand
Instant hot water
Hot water is instantly heated by the boiler
