Honeywell Home Metering Software

Many Honeywell Home meters offer configuration options which are set by using a software tool and an interface. Some meters require setup, for example when used in an M-Bus network.

Configuration Software for Direct Meter Access

The following table shows software required for configuration directly at the meter. Apart from the software package – which can be downloaded free of charge – a BT optical interface is required (order number EWA3001799) and the PC consequently must have Bluetooth capability

The table is sorted by application and within the application by Series.

How to determine to which Series an OS Number belongs?

The Series is the same as the first four or five numerals or characters of the OS Number. Examples:

OS# EW7730M1200 belongs to EW773 Series
OS# EW1300BM1200 and EW1301BM1200 both belong to EW130 Series

Note: with EW773 and EW545 Series 2nd generation and EW500 some functions are protected and require a USB dongle to be accessible. The dongle allows access to the meter in “expert” mode. A configuration table showing which functions can be changed in standard and which can be changed in expert mode is in the download area.

Configuration Software for Network Masters and Remote Meter Access

The following table shows software required for configuration of M-Bus master units and remote configuration of meters. Apart from the software package - which can be downloaded free of charge - further hardware is required:

For M-Bus network configuration: a USB cable for connection to M-Bus master units (supplied with master unit but often not stored at device)
For mobile RF network configuration: a BT receiver and a PC with Bluetooth capability
